Research interests
- Cognitive offloading: what happens to reasoning when AI does the first draft of thinking.
- Multi-age, station-rotation classrooms as a way for one teacher to see each child.
- Leadership and character as things children practise, not only things they are told.

Open questions
- Can one teacher, watching a whole room at once, develop children who are all different?
- What happens to learning when a tool can finish the work for the learner?
- Which capacities fade when struggle is designed out, and can school give them back?
